Grassroots Grant

Cabarrus Arts Council

Cabarrus Arts Council Logo

Grassroots Arts Program Grants
Our cornerstone program provides arts funding to all 100 counties through an extensive network of local arts councils and other partners. Funds, distributed on a per capita basis, ensure that all citizens have access to quality arts experiences and benefit from the important role the arts play in their communities. Grassroots funds also support the sustainability of local arts councils: organizations that are central to community life.

FTFT plans to use this grant to fund the second year of the Concord Sculpture Show, specifically to fund a local artist in building a sculpture to display for one year in the show and then keep.

American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA)

NC Arts Council Logo

On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan (ARP) that includes funding for the National Endowment for the Arts to support organizations and jobs in the arts sector that have been impacted by the pandemic. The $135 million allocated for the Arts Endowment in this historic legislation represents a significant commitment to the arts and a recognition of the value of the arts and culture sector to the nation’s economy and recovery.

FTFT plans to use this grant to fund a necessary website redo! As much at we love trying to build our own website, the projects we are hoping to execute need a strong infrastructure that we will build digitally!

Beautification Grant

Residents of Historic Concord Logo

The Residents of Historic Concord sponsor a small  grants program to facilitate projects initiated by groups or individuals, which will improve an aspect of life in or around the residential Historic Districts of Concord. The purpose is to provide community benefit through projects in the following areas: Beautification, Education, Entertainment, or Community Service.

FTFT used this grant to place “Music”, a sculpture in the 2022-2023 Concord Sculpture Show, on Union Street South is the Historic District of Concord.

July 2022

HUG grant logo

HUGs (Helpful Unfettered Gifts) are $250 strings-free micro-grants – aka “Love Bombs of Cash” – awarded monthly to non-profit and for-profit creative initiatives in Charlotte to help propel the project forward or remove a small obstacle to its overall success. This is real money, making a real difference. All of it is at work today in the Queen City.

Concord is having its very first sculpture show!

The HUG will be used to fund an illustrator who will be drawing the sculptures so they can be sold in print and on postcards.
